Blue Eye Tang
Blue Eye Tang (Ctenochaetus binotatus)
The Blue Eye Tang is a vibrant fish, featuring a striking orange-brown body with blue lines and spots. It has distinctive blue spots on its head and two black spots near the base of its dorsal and anal fins. This eye-catching fish makes a stunning addition to any reef aquarium. To accommodate this active species, a tank of at least 70 gallons is recommended to ensure ample swimming space. While the Two Spot Bristletooth Tang is known for its aggression towards other tangs, it remains generally peaceful with other fish species. For optimal health, it is essential to provide a diet rich in marine-based seaweed and algae in addition to meaty foods. Offering dried seaweed, either tied to a rock or using a veggie clip, should be done at least three times per week.
